I Miss My Long Hair

I miss my long hair.

I used to have really long hair until I made the drastic decision last summer to cut it all off into a long bob. It was cute, but more high maintenance and all I could do was straighten it. I'm the kind of girl who likes using curling irons, hot rollers (which I love and miss using desperately), and straighteners, but with my short hair I realized that I couldn't curl it the way I wanted. Plus, I would always throw my hair up in a messy bun or pony tail when I didn't feel like dealing with it that day...can't do that with short hair.

Then I see pictures like this on Pinterest:

Ugh! I want my hair that long again with pretty layers!!!

It's been a year and my hair is only a little past shoulder length. I've been taking Biotin and it does seem to help, but do any of you know any other ways to make your hair grow faster and healthier? I've also been sure to keep getting my hair trimmed, which I heard also helps and I looked online and found an awesome site that shared foods that help hair growth here.

If you have any fast growing hair remedies I'd loved to hear them! I'm very impatient apparently when it comes to my hair growing haha.

Have a great Saturday!

  1. If I could, I would give you my "hair growing power!" Seriously, my hair grows too fast! I always get it cut really short during the summer but a few months laters it's back to where it was!

  2. AH! I have the same problem. I cut my hair off in February (a food-ish) for Locks of Love, and I am now praying, praying, praying that it grows back soon. Good luck!

  3. Mane and Tail, yes, like the horse shampoo stuff! Its supposed to do wonders and help hair grow long and really shiny! I know the feeling though, I always used to get drastic amounts cut off my hair with excuses like "oh its summer," now I don't let anyone with scissors remotely close to it! I'm aiming for Rapunzel status, just in case I get locked in a tower.

  4. hair appt tomorrow ... trying to decide if I should chop it or leave it. this may have answered my question. I will probably regret a chop ... hmmmm.

Thank you for all your sweet comments! It really brightens my day :)
