I've been trying to get in a good workout routine, but have no idea what a good schedule for working out would be (if that makes any sense haha). I know that you can't keep doing the same thing everyday, so I want to switch it up and not just keep running on ellipticals and treadmills. Do y'all have any suggestions of a good workout routine I can switch between everyday of the week?
Our little apartment gym has: ellipticals, treadmills, hand weights, a mat, a ball, and a weight lifting machine. So if y'all can work with that, I'd be very grateful!
Also, I don't want anyone to think that this is about losing weight. I am very happy with my size and if anything I want to gain some weight in muscle!
I know as women we all have body image issues and I've had a couple friends deal with eating disorders so this is very important to me. I don't want this to turn into a soapbox speech, but I have learned that probably the biggest addiction women deal with is food, whether it's over eating when we're stressed or bored, or just not eating at all. Like I said, not going to turn this post into a soapbox speech haha, but just remember that each and everyone one of you is beautifully and wonderfully made! Seriously. Don't let anyone tell or make you think otherwise.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

I hear you on this one, I have less than three months to get into the best shape of my life and I have NO IDEA where to start. Getting off the couch is probably a good first step :) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI am right there with ya, lady!! I get so bored doing the same thing-I love mixing it up...so I do zumba, pilates, kick box, jog outdoors, and spin class! (well I am trying to get BACK to my normal workout routine, but that's what I did!) I find the best thing to get started is do something you LOVE! I love dancing so I would take the 'body jam' class at my gym (or dance in my living room) if I got in a workout rut to mix it up! Whoa, that may have been the longest comment EVER! hehee!! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Maybe you can try doing some strength such as workout videos? I love Jillian Michael's 30 day shred! Since you're already doing cardio, you can just add this workout in. It really helps tone you up! But be warned, Jillian is intense :)!
